The environment and our planet is a passionate cause for many and we're no different here at FreddyMatch. That's why we found three ways volunteer can help the planet.

Here at FreddyMatch we love volunteering and helping those who need help the most but did you know that we are also very passionate about the environment and helping keep this beautiful planet of ours alive for as long as possible, so not only us but those that come after us can see all its beautiful sights.
Here are three ways volunteering can help the planet.
1. Gives those with no voice a voice
Did you know that we have over seven million species of animals on planet earth?
All of these animals have no voice and unfortunately some suffer consequences from our own actions.
But by volunteering with animal organisations such as the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary you can help give them a voice, while forging a way to better conserve our wildlife.
2. Clean up the ocean and the land
Volunteering with clean-up organisations can help better protect the environment and prevent plastics from entering our waterways.
Trash that is left on the ground is one of the biggest pollutants we face, as any time it rains or we have wind it is carried into our oceans, rivers and soil not only affecting our planet but also ourselves and animals.
The best part of volunteering at clean-ups is you can get a group of friends together and enjoy a chat while helping the planet.
3. Contribute to a community garden
Volunteering at a community garden can help diversify plant life and reduce gas emissions by improving both the air and soil quality.
Studies have also proved that gardening helps our mental wellbeing by connecting with others in nature and also helps boost our mood, reduce stress and improve our memory.
So, by volunteering at a local garden you not only are helping the community but also the environment and yourself.
