Mission Statement
At Waltham Forest Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets, our mission is to inspire young people to grow in confidence, resilience and leadership through adventure, teamwork and maritime training. We provide a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where cadets aged 10–18 can challenge themselves, learn new skills and build lasting friendships.

Through practical experiences such as sailing, outdoor activities, fieldcraft and community engagement, we help young people develop discipline, responsibility and respect for others. Our programmes encourage cadets to step outside their comfort zones, discover their potential and develop the life skills needed for future education, careers and personal success.

Supported by passionate volunteers and a strong community spirit, we are committed to helping every cadet reach their full potential. By promoting teamwork, perseverance and positive values, we aim to empower the next generation to become confident individuals who contribute positively to their communities. ⚓

Waltham Forest Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets is a vibrant youth organisation helping young people in North-East London build confidence, develop skills and experience adventure. Based in Chingford, the unit welcomes young people aged 10–18 and offers a unique mix of maritime training, outdoor activities and leadership development in a safe and supportive environment
