Litchfield Rural Show - formerly Freds Pass Rural Show

Vision -
Litchfield Rural Show will retain its position as the premier community event in the Darwin rural area. Mission - Continually develop and grow a popular and well organised event showcasing the agricultural, social and cultural elements of our diverse rural community. Our values are:

We are a not-for-profit organisation which organises a unique NT rural
agricultural show at the end of every May, with a special focus on local food production, preparation and experiences. It is the largest community event in the Litchfield Municipality. Like all agricultural shows, we have a mixture of events, activities, side show alley, displays, siteholders, agricultural and home industries competitions and entertainment that together seek to showcase a broad range of Outer Darwin's agriculture and horticulture sectors, rural lifestyle and community spirit. In 2026, our show is on the 23 & 24 May, and will be re-locating to the Livingstone Recreation Reserve, and will bear the new name of the Litchfield Rural Show. 2026 will be our 47th rural show. The show relies heavily on volunteers to support governance, competition organising, and assisting with events before and on the weekend of the show. We highly value our volunteers and offer full support and training (both online and on the ground).
