In 1968, 22 Polish member organisations united to form the Federation of Polish Organisations in SA Inc. Initially established in 1949, as the Union of Poles in South Australia in 1949, the aim was to assist post war Polish emigrants adapt to their new lives in South Australia and organise national events and celebrate important anniversaries.
The Federation continues to celebrate, recognise, and engage with our community to honour that commitment. Additionally, as the ageing journey continues, individual needs have changed, and we have responded by providing government-funded activities and services for Polish seniors to meet these whilst living at home for as long as possible. Our activities and services aim to retain the vital connection to heritage, culture, and language within and across our community fostering an active lifestyle and overall independence. Facilitated by a team of volunteers we offer transport, meals, and social support, both individually or a group setting. As part of our team, your valuable contribution is integral to achieving and sustaining the quality services we deliver that aims to assist our clients live their best day every day!
