Sailability Goolwa

To facilitate participation in sailing and boat usage at social, recreational and competitive levels on inland, estuary and ocean water, for people with disabilities regardless of age and level of disability.

The Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club sponsors and promotes the internationally recognised Sailability program through an affiliation with Sailability South Australia. Sailability is sponsored by the South Australian Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing. Sailability promotes sailing as a fun, safe and rewarding activity in which people with disabilities or disadvantage can participate at a social, recreational and competitive level; and promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities or disadvantage within all mainstream yachting activities. If you are a person with a disability or social disadvantage, or a partner/carer of such a person, making contact with us will enable us to welcome you and enable your participation in the recreation of sailing. Our volunteers are all experienced sailors and will help and accompany you whilst sailing. Access into and out of boats is easily arranged from our docking area. Should a sling be required for access into and out of the boat, an electric crane is available for this purpose.
