Hannaford Community Centre

We aim to improve the quality of life for Inner West residents by offering inclusive programs, services, and activities that foster social connections, support wellbeing, and encourage lifelong learning.

Hannaford Community Centre offers a huge range of wellbeing activities for people 55yrs+ and is also a venue for hire. The building, on the corner of Darling Street and Nelson Street, was purchased by Leichhardt Council in 1975 from the late Mr Harrie Hannaford and transformed into a seniors & community centre. Since then, thousands of seniors have enjoyed the weekly classes, groups, bus trips, support and friendship that the Hannaford Centre offers.
