About

The University of the Third Age (U3A) started in France at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Toulouse, in 1973, by Professor Pierre Vellas. There are now thousands of independent U3A organisations all over the world. Network Queensland has 35 member Associations, of which we are one. Each U3A is a community organisation that promotes healthy ageing by sharing educational, creative, and leisure activities provided by their own members.
