We save and protect children's lives and strive to give every child a safe and happy childhood. Save the Children started helping children in Australia in the 1950's. Our first Australian programs focused on early education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. With significant growth since then, we now run education and child protection programs for disadvantaged communities at 100 sites around the country
