Multicultural Communities Council of SA (MCCSA) is inviting volunteers for the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) project. We are looking for people to visit seniors in Aged Care facilities.

The role

A Greek-speaking volunteer is needed to visit an elderly person in an aged care home. This person feels lonely and isolated because their language and culture are different from most of the others. You can support our elderly with the gift of companionship and help to reduce their loneliness and isolation. Other skills include good listening and communication skills, empathy and understanding of older people, patience, and willingness to act with integrity, respect, confidentiality, and dignity.
