VGC and Surf Life Savings Clubs are working together to ensure beaches along the GC are accessible for everyone. Volunteers will roll out access mats and assist participants to use beach wheelchairs.
Roll out the beach mats, setup the marquees and have all equipment “ready to go” including chairs, assistive technology and other necessary equipment; greet the service users and provide a demonstration on how to use the equipment; provide a 'helping hand' to anyone wanting to use the chairs and mats; ensure the carer and user have signed the necessary paperwork to allow them to access the beach chairs.
Volunteers needed for a 4 hour shift between 8am and 4pm on Sundays.
Multiple locations need help! Mermaid Beach, Tallebudgera, Surfers Paradise.
