The ACVVS program at Sydney MCS supports isolated CALD residents by training volunteers to engage with eligible residents, matching them based on language and cultural background.
Essential Criteria:
- Respect the rights of the client, including confidentiality, privacy, and maintaining dignity.
- Exercise a duty of care at all times.
- Communication skills (listening and speaking).
- Emotional qualification skills, teamwork, reporting skills, community service skills, and other skills that will be helpful in assisting seniors and the elderly.
Mandatory police check, COVID-19 vaccine (third dose or booster), and training provided.
