Do you want to make a difference in the lives of families with young children? We're looking for volunteers to build relationships with families to increase their social and emotional wellbeing.
Family Support Volunteers provide practical help and emotional support for care givers in North Brisbane. Volunteers provide non-judgemental support to families experiencing social and emotional complexities. Volunteers visit families for 2hrs a week to achieve identified goals. Training provided one day a week over six weeks scheduled to begin in early 2024. Qualified Social workers provide ongoing supervision and monthly team meetings. Volunteers are also invited to support a weekly playgroup.
Some travel costs are reimbursed. Blue card, police check , mandatory vaccinations required.
