Help children learn to read! Take your dog into your local school every week and be part of our high-impact program.

The role

You and your dog will visit a school of your choice every week at the same time to sit with five children to help them learn to read.
Story Dogs will provide all the support and training you require.
You may need to do a Dog Team Assessment with your dog to ensure that it is safe around children, and that it will not become too stressed in a school environment.
You do not need any experience in teaching children to read, as Story Dogs will provide appropriate guidance.

Need to know

Coomera, Ashmore, Nerang, Arundel, Ormeau, Pimpama. Blue Card required. VGC recruits for this role.
