We have various roles in a variety of wards. Our volunteers provide non-clinical support to patients and also assist the ward staff with a variety of tasks.

The role

Volunteers can play an important and active role in various ways:
Talking to patients about current events and surroundings.
Assisting patients with completion of menus.
Supporting patient with activities that they enjoy based on their preferences.
Engaging patients in social interaction as well as diversional activities.
Assist ward staff and ward clerk with miscellaneous tasks that may include:
Photocopying
Collation of Admin packs
Restocking PPE/shelves/trolleys

Need to know

Training will be provided. Shift times vary.
