Change a child's life story and become a Schoolreaders volunteer!
Schoolreaders is a national literacy charity in England and we find and match volunteers with local primary schools to support children in improving their reading.
Volunteers visit their matched school once a week for a minimum of one hour during the school day where they work individually with children. Volunteers need to be able to commit to at least one year of volunteering but of course holidays can be taken, be over 18 and have a good level of written and spoken English.
DBS and safeguarding checks will be carried out by schools at no cost to volunteer prior to starting
