Would you like to make weekly social visits and provide companionship to clients who speak Spanish? These clients are socially isolated due to a language barrier will benefit from these conversations.

The role

Volunteers are asked to commit to weekly social visits and provide companionship to clients. Good communication skills in Spanish and the ability to listen are essential. Visits could include: chatting, catching up with news/reading newspaper, games/craft and reading a book. Visits could include a gentle hand pampering if requested. Applicants should also enjoy the company of the elderly, have some understanding of the aging process and possess a good sense of boundaries and confidentiality.
