We seek enthusiastic volunteers to join our team in supporting neurodivergent young people through our Cooking for Independence and Baking programs and support lead staff during all sessions.

The role

Volunteers will assist participants in developing independent living skills, incl meal planning, budgeting, shopping, food preparation and cooking. You will help ensure smooth running of sessions, provide encouragement and contribute to a safe/supportive environment. A supportive patient nature, reliability and good communication skills are essential. No professional cooking experience required but kitchen skills and confidence in navigating recipes, using kitchen utensils/equipment a must.

Need to know

Reliability/commitment to one/more sessions on a regular basis, supportive and encouraging approach
