We require a tutor for our Japanese Beginners class which is held at the Southport Community Centre during our two Semesters (Feb to June and Aug to Dec). 1 hour per week flexible with day and time.

The role

U3A Southport offers around 80 courses to our members who are aged from 50+. For the teaching of beginners Japanese, the successful candidate must be conversant in Japanese so they can teach the basics of the language. Our students will have little or no knowledge of the Japanese language.
We do not have tests or exams although the tutor may recommend revision or homework. A set text for the class members to purchase will be recommended.

Need to know

Joy in teaching and patience for older learners is necessary. Prefer Mature age volunteers.
