This rewarding and enjoyable volunteer role could be the one for you, where you make a real difference transporting older adults in and around our community. You’ll help them maintain independence.
You are supported by a skilled Home Assist team who provide you with a thorough workplan: you pick up a well-maintained Council vehicle and head out for the day. An Assistant will help you with navigation, parking and supporting the clients. Together, you will pick up and drop off clients for shopping, appointments and outings as well as making deliveries of frozen meals. Can you commit to one day a week - and are interested in ongoing training requirements and opportunities?
You need a moderate level of fitness, and we help you to obtain any missing requirements at no cost.
