Buddies Day is a free, monthly Vinnies program for kids aged 8–13. It’s all about building friendships, connecting with positive volunteer role models, and enjoying a safe, fun-filled day.
Volunteers support the planning, organisation, and delivery of these days, acting as positive adult role models for children in our local area who seek community connection. Buddies Days can range from a sports day at our home base to an outing such as a trip to the Cairns Aquarium.
Buddies Days occur monthly on a Sunday for approximately 4 hours.
Volunteer onboarding and safeguarding training is provided.
