We seek a person for approximately 4 hrs per week to organise speakers and coordinate Gecko’s monthly Gecko Talks nights, held on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Currumbin RSL
Source, interview and book speakers; confirm venue arrangements; create a media release, event description/promotional image; arrange a Facebook and 3rd party ticketing website event; liaise with Mancom member who is rostered to attend and introduce the speaker; attend the talk/circulate attendance sheet; maintain historical data spreadsheet in SharePoint; update mailing lists and be aware of current environmental situations so that speakers on similar topics can be researched and booked to talk
Training provided. Computer literacy including FB, Microsoft Word, Humanitix, media release writing.
